ICEYE is hiring an Executive Business Partner to serve as the operating engine of its Lisbon Center of Excellence. Reporting directly to the CEO of ICEYE Portugal, you will design and run the operating rhythm across all CoE functions—engineering, sales, marketing, HR, finance, and legal—turning ambitious strategy into structured execution.
Your core responsibilities include designing and running leadership meetings, business reviews, planning cycles, and offsites with clear agendas and outcomes. You will capture decisions and action items across the organization, hold teams accountable to commitments, and surface blockers early. You'll manage cross-functional initiatives that cut across departments, bringing structure to ambiguity and turning loosely defined goals into executable plans with clear timelines and owners.
You will support the CEO's engagement with government and institutional stakeholders—ministries, defense, civil protection, and industry partners—preparing briefings, coordinating meetings, and tracking follow-ups with professionalism and discretion in a security-sensitive context. You'll also build the operating system of a growing organization: the rituals, tooling, and reporting that enable ICEYE Portugal to move fast without losing rigor, including drafting internal communications and leadership updates.
This role is explicitly designed as a growth path. Starting as an individual contributor with no direct reports, it is scoped to evolve into Chief of Staff for ICEYE Portugal as you build trust, take on more of the CEO's agenda, and prove you can own the company's operating system.
Required: 6–10 years in demanding operating roles (chief of staff, senior program/project management, strategy & operations, management consulting, or executive business partnering). You must have a track record running operating rhythms for leadership teams and driving complex cross-functional work to closure. Exceptional organization, prioritization, and follow-through are essential; you must be comfortable holding senior people accountable. Executive-level communication skills (crisp writing and speaking, ability to prepare briefings and draft on behalf of a CEO) are critical. You need sound judgment, absolute discretion with confidential information, calm effectiveness under pressure, and comfort with ambiguity. Fluency in English (written and spoken) and C2/near-native Portuguese are required. You must be eligible and able to attain relevant Portuguese national and NATO security clearances.
Nice to have: exposure to government, defense, public-sector, or security-sensitive environments; experience in a scale-up, high-growth company, or founder/CEO office; familiarity with space, SAR, defense, geospatial, or deep-tech contexts; fluency with modern operating and project tooling and AI-native productivity tools; understanding of Portugal's institutional, defense, and space ecosystem; clear ambition to grow into a Chief of Staff role.
