Zania is building agentic AI for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)—a massive enterprise market dominated by legacy systems ripe for disruption. The company has achieved exceptional product-market fit, serves marquee customers (FAANG, Big 4 firms), is backed by Tier 1 venture capital, and has demonstrated 10x ARR growth in the past year.
This role is designed for a battle-tested ex-founder to serve as co-pilot to the founding team. You will operate as a true generalist and founder proxy, taking ownership of the company's most critical 0-to-1 initiatives without needing a playbook.
Key responsibilities include: (1) driving 0-to-1 strategic initiatives by parachuting into critical business areas—whether standing up new revenue channels, fixing operational bottlenecks, or launching product initiatives; (2) accelerating growth by identifying untapped GTM motions, building strategic partnerships, and executing experiments with relentless speed; (3) managing investor relations alongside the CEO, including fundraising strategy, board decks, investor updates, and capital allocation; (4) acting as a founder proxy with authority and extreme ownership to unblock teams and accelerate decision-making; (5) moving fast with high autonomy, conceptualizing and executing business strategies without approval chains.
The ideal candidate has founder or co-founder experience at a venture-backed or bootstrapped startup, with a proven track record of scaling revenue, operations, or product from zero to tangible traction. You must understand B2B/Enterprise SaaS growth dynamics and venture capital operations, possess exceptional communication skills (credibly engaging with CISOs, Fortune 500 executives, and Tier 1 investors), and demonstrate financial and analytical fluency to model growth scenarios and structure strategic bets. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Palo Alto, requiring five days per week on-site. The company offers flexible PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance, office meals, and relocation support.
