Mercury, a fintech platform serving startups and technology companies with banking, treasury, and financial workflow solutions, is seeking an Events and Experiences Specialist to own and drive the company's onsite program. Reporting to the Events and Experiences Manager, this hybrid NYC-based role focuses on planning and executing team onsites in New York City and secondary cities (Chicago, Denver, Austin, etc.), ensuring each event reflects Mercury's thoughtful approach to design, quality, and connection. You will own the end-to-end planning, production, and execution of team onsites, managing all logistics including travel coordination, venue sourcing, vendor management, budgeting, and on-the-ground execution. You'll partner closely with stakeholders and internal teams to align programming with Mercury's culture and employee experience strategy. Key responsibilities include proactively identifying and addressing problems or inefficiencies, gathering feedback from attendees to continuously improve the program, and contributing to broader employee experience initiatives such as All Hands meetings, virtual events, merchandise production, and cultural programs. You'll also help develop and maintain efficient planning tools, templates, and processes that enable scalable onsite operations while upholding Mercury's brand and values through thoughtful, high-quality execution. The role requires being physically present in the NYC office on onsite days and traveling approximately 30–40% for site visits and event execution in secondary cities. Ideal candidates bring a minimum of 5 years of experience producing corporate or internal events with a strong track record of owning end-to-end event planning and execution. You should have experience running complex, multi-city or multi-event programs independently, exceptional organization and attention to detail, strength in vendor negotiation and budgeting, and a refined eye for design. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to be a collaborative team player who gives and receives feedback with empathy.
