Verkada is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Engineer to be the first field-based technical specialist in Finland, supporting the expansion of Verkada's integrated physical security and AI platform into Fortune 500 accounts across Northern Europe.
Verkada provides an AI-powered platform combining video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management. The company has 30,000+ customers (100+ Fortune 500), $5.8B valuation, and $1B+ annualized bookings.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the technical authority on Verkada's full product suite, articulating value to customers throughout the sales cycle
- Partner directly with field account executives and the Head of Northern Europe to develop territory strategy
- Act as a trusted advisor, overcoming technical objections and securing technical wins
- Design Verkada solutions covering network security, bandwidth requirements, physical security product selection, cloud security RFPs, and LTE deployments
- Present solutions to all customer levels (C-suite, loss prevention, IT directors)
- Enable and train local partners on Verkada offerings
- Develop thought leadership through conference presentations, white papers, and knowledge base articles
- Serve as a product technical evangelist, educating partners, customers, and internal teams
- Support 50% travel as needed
You will work remotely but based in Helsinki, with flexibility for hybrid engagement as the Northern Europe region develops.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Based in Helsinki or willing to relocate
- Fluent in English and Finnish (additional languages ideal)
- 5+ years as a Sales Engineer with proven Fortune 500 experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, or IT Security from accredited university
- Strong networking background: HTTPS/SSL, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, firewalls, software systems
- Outstanding written and verbal communication in English and Finnish
- Industry certifications preferred (AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Azure, CISCP, CSP)
- Experience with APIs, Python, and other coding languages (plus, not required)
- Linux systems experience (ideal, not required)
- Previous startup experience (ideal, not required)
