Sierra is building an AI platform to help businesses create better, more human customer experiences. The company was founded by Bret Taylor (former Salesforce co-CEO, Facebook CTO, Google Maps co-creator) and Clay Bavor (18-year Google veteran who led Google Labs, AR/VR, and Google Workspace). Sierra is headquartered in San Francisco with offices across Atlanta, New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney.
The Financial Services team works with systemically important banks, neobanks, insurers, and vertically integrated ecosystems—1 in 3 of the world's leading banks use Sierra. The team focuses on transforming customer experience in moments that matter: mortgage pre-approval decisions, fraud detection, card replacement, and other high-stakes interactions.
As Enterprise Sales Director for Financial Services, you will lead prospecting and lead generation to identify and target potential enterprise customers through research, networking, and strategic outreach. You'll build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at the largest financial services institutions, serving as their primary point of contact and exceeding expectations.
You'll manage complex deal cycles, leading negotiations with existing and prospective customers, addressing objections, and closing deals. You'll navigate contracts and agreements quickly while collaborating with legal and finance teams. You'll develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed targets, craft tailored presentations and proposals, and collaborate with marketing on effective campaigns.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential—you'll work closely with the GTM team, product, technical, and operations organizations. You'll operate as an AI-native seller, leveraging AI tools across the full sales cycle (account research, personalized outreach, call summarization, pipeline forecasting, deal execution) to automate low-value tasks and reinvest time into high-value customer relationships.
You bring 6-8 years of enterprise customer-facing sales experience with a proven track record of closing large accounts. You've managed $1M+ quotas and run end-to-end complex 6- and 7-figure ACV deals. You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, an analytical mindset, and a strong prospecting track record. Familiarity with the AI landscape and emerging trends is a plus.
