Celonis, the global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, is seeking an Enterprise Architect Director to lead and grow a team of Enterprise Architects. This is a high-impact leadership role combining deep technical expertise with executive presence and people management experience.
You will lead a team responsible for defining architecture, data, and cloud strategy for Celonis's largest client accounts. Your primary goal is to empower your team to support the sales organization in achieving revenue targets while unlocking technical blockers through cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Value Engineering, Product Management, Data Ops, and Information Security.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hiring, mentoring, and managing a team of Enterprise Architects
- Acting as an executive sponsor in pre-sales and post-sales phases, presenting strategic visions to C-level customer executives
- Guiding your team to design architectures that drive enterprise modernization and leverage emerging technologies like Agentic AI
- Serving as a leadership bridge between Celonis product/engineering teams and client teams
- Overseeing assessment of customer IT landscape maturity and coaching account teams on architecture, integration, performance, and scalability
- Directing development of reusable assets, customer-facing position papers, and thought leadership presentations
Success is measured by your team's impact on new customer acquisition, retention, upselling, and overall contribution to sales and business success.
Required qualifications: 20+ years of relevant experience managing Enterprise Architects or technical teams at top consulting firms or software vendors. Strategic vision with proven ability to connect technical solutions to business value. Excellent communication skills with C-level executive experience. Deep understanding of Capability Mapping, Enterprise Modernization, and Agentic AI. Strong background in Data Architecture, system integrations, data operations, automation, and data languages (SQL, Python). Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions (Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics CRM, ServiceNow), cybersecurity fundamentals, API ecosystems, and legacy enterprise architectures. MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related field. Fluency in English required; additional languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian) advantageous.
Preferred: Celonis certifications, AWS/Azure/GCP certifications, ESB/ETL expertise (Mulesoft, Oracle, SAP, Talend, Informatica), TOGAF/Zachmann certifications. Experience across multiple domains (Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, HR) and industries (Consumer Goods, Banking, Pharma, Aerospace).
