Celonis, the global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, is seeking an Enterprise Architect Director to lead and grow a team of Enterprise Architects. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring deep technical expertise, people management experience, and executive presence.
You will lead a team responsible for defining overall architecture, data, and cloud strategy for Celonis's largest client accounts. Your primary goal is to empower this team to support the growing sales organization in achieving revenue goals while unlocking technical blockers through close partnerships with Sales, Value Engineering, Product Management, Data Ops, and Information Security.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hiring, mentoring, and managing Enterprise Architects
- Acting as an executive sponsor in pre-sales and post-sales phases, presenting strategic visions to C-level executives
- Guiding your team to design architectures that drive enterprise modernization and explore innovative solutions using emerging technologies like Agentic AI
- Serving as a leadership bridge between Celonis product and engineering teams and client teams
- Overseeing assessment of IT landscape maturity across the customer base
- Directing development of reusable assets, customer-facing position papers, and thought leadership presentations
Success is measured by your team's impact on new customer acquisition, retention, upselling, and overall contribution to sales and business success.
Required qualifications: 20+ years of relevant experience managing Enterprise Architects or technical teams at top consulting firms or software vendors; proven strategic thinking ability; excellent communication skills with C-level presentation experience; deep understanding of Capability Mapping, Enterprise Modernization, and Agentic AI; strong background in Data Architecture, system integrations, data operations, and data-related languages (SQL, Python); understanding of cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions (Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics CRM, ServiceNow), cybersecurity fundamentals, API ecosystems, and legacy enterprise architectures; MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related field; fluency in English (additional languages like Spanish, French, German, or Italian are advantageous).
Preferred: Celonis certifications and extensive leadership experience with OCPM and Case Centric Data Pipelines; industry certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP, ESB/ETL tools, TOGAF/Zachmann); experience across multiple domains and industries.
