Celonis, the global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, is seeking an Enterprise Architect Director to lead and grow a team of Enterprise Architects. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring deep technical expertise combined with executive presence and people management experience.
You will lead a team responsible for defining architecture, data, and cloud strategy for Celonis's largest client accounts. Your primary goal is to empower your team to support the sales organization in achieving revenue targets while unlocking technical blockers through cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Value Engineering, Product Management, Data Ops, and Information Security.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hiring, mentoring, and managing a team of Enterprise Architects
- Acting as an executive sponsor in pre-sales and post-sales phases, presenting strategic visions to C-level customer executives
- Guiding your team to design architectures that drive enterprise modernization and explore innovative solutions using emerging technologies like Agentic AI
- Serving as a leadership bridge between Celonis product and engineering teams and client teams
- Overseeing assessment of customer IT landscape maturity and coaching account teams on architecture, integration, performance, and scalability
- Directing development of reusable assets, customer-facing position papers, and thought leadership presentations
Success is measured by your team's impact on new customer acquisition, retention, upselling, and overall sales team contribution.
Required qualifications include 20+ years of relevant experience managing Enterprise Architects or technical teams at top consulting firms or software vendors. You need proven strategic vision, excellent communication skills for C-level engagement, deep enterprise architecture expertise (capability mapping, enterprise modernization, agentic AI), and strong technical foundation in data architecture, system integrations, and data operations. Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions (Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics CRM, ServiceNow), cybersecurity fundamentals, and legacy enterprise architectures is essential. An MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related degree is required, with fluency in English and additional language skills (Spanish, French, German, Italian) as advantages.
Preferred qualifications include Celonis certifications, industry standard certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP, ESB/ETL tools, TOGAF/Zachman), and experience spanning multiple domains and industries.
