Celonis is seeking a Director of Enterprise Architecture to lead and grow a team of Enterprise Architects supporting the company's Enterprise AI platform. This is a high-impact leadership role combining deep technical expertise with executive presence and people management experience. You will lead a team responsible for defining architecture, data, and cloud strategy for Celonis's largest client accounts. Your primary goal is to empower your team to support the sales organization in achieving revenue targets while unlocking technical blockers through cross-functional partnerships. Key responsibilities include: • Team Leadership: Hire, mentor, and manage Enterprise Architects who design solutions for enterprise clients • Executive Engagement: Act as executive sponsor in pre- and post-sales phases, presenting strategic visions to C-level executives and engaging with customer architecture and security teams • Strategic Innovation: Guide your team in designing architectures that drive enterprise modernization, leveraging capability mapping and emerging technologies like Agentic AI • Cross-Functional Alignment: Bridge Celonis product and engineering teams with client teams to ensure premier technical service delivery • Ecosystem Readiness: Assess IT landscape maturity of customer installed base and coach account teams and ecosystem partners on architecture, integration, performance, and scalability • Thought Leadership: Direct development of reusable assets, customer-facing position papers, and thought leadership presentations on architecture and innovation Success is measured by your team's impact on new customer acquisition, retention, upselling, and overall contribution to sales and business success. Required qualifications: 20+ years of relevant experience including proven track record managing Enterprise Architects or technical teams at top consulting firms or software vendors. Strategic vision with ability to connect technical solutions to business value. Excellent communication skills with proven track record navigating complex negotiations and presenting to C-level executives. Deep understanding of capability mapping, enterprise modernization, and Agentic AI. Strong background in data architecture, system integrations, data operations, automation, and data-related languages (SQL, Python). Understanding of cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions (Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics CRM, ServiceNow), cybersecurity fundamentals, API ecosystems, and legacy enterprise architectures. MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related field. Fluency in English required; additional languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian) advantageous. Preferred: Celonis certifications, leadership experience with OCPM and Case Centric Data Pipelines, industry certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP, ESB/ETL tools, TOGAF/Zachman), experience spanning multiple domains and industries.
