Celonis, the global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, is seeking an Enterprise Architect Director to lead and grow a team of Enterprise Architects supporting the sales organization and largest customer accounts.
In this high-impact leadership role, you will combine deep technical expertise with executive presence to drive revenue growth and customer success. You will hire, mentor, and manage a team of Enterprise Architects responsible for defining architecture, data, and cloud strategy for major clients. Acting as an executive sponsor, you will present strategic visions to C-level executives, engage with customer architecture and security teams, and bridge internal product/engineering teams with client requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and leading a high-performing team of Enterprise Architects
- Serving as executive sponsor in pre-sales and post-sales phases with customer C-suite
- Guiding strategic innovation in enterprise modernization, capability mapping, and emerging technologies like Agentic AI
- Fostering cross-functional alignment between Celonis product/engineering and customer teams
- Assessing IT landscape maturity across the customer base and coaching account teams on architecture, integration, performance, and scalability
- Developing reusable assets, position papers, and thought leadership content on architecture and innovation
Success is measured by your team's impact on new customer acquisition, retention, upselling, and overall sales team contribution.
Required qualifications: 20+ years of relevant experience managing Enterprise Architects or technical teams at top consulting firms or software vendors. You need strategic vision, excellent C-level communication skills, deep enterprise architecture expertise (capability mapping, enterprise modernization, Agentic AI), and strong technical foundation in data architecture, system integrations, data operations, and data languages (SQL, Python). Demonstrated knowledge of cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions (Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics, ServiceNow), cybersecurity fundamentals, API ecosystems, and legacy enterprise systems is essential. MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT degree required. English fluency required; additional languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian) are advantageous.
Preferred: Celonis certifications, AWS/Azure/GCP certifications, ESB/ETL expertise (Mulesoft, Oracle, SAP, Talend, Informatica), TOGAF/Zachman knowledge, and experience across multiple domains and industries.
