Datafold is a venture-backed data engineering automation platform that delivers large-scale data platform migrations (such as Snowflake or Databricks implementations) using AI, at fixed price and guaranteed timeline. The company partners deeply with major data platforms to co-sell and deliver migrations at scale, disrupting the traditional IT Services industry by delivering projects up to 6x faster than alternatives.
You will own new business development across the Eastern & Central regions of the US & Canada as an experienced Account Executive. This is a high-ownership, partner-led sales role with a fundamentally different value proposition than traditional software sales: you are selling a completed, on-time, fixed-price outcome rather than a SaaS license.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the full sales cycle for new logos: discovery, technical qualification, proposal, negotiation, and close
- Build and develop pipeline through the partner ecosystem (Databricks, Snowflake, GCP, dbt, Microsoft) via field co-sell, joint account planning, and partner-sourced introductions
- Run discovery and value conversations with both data engineering leaders and executive buyers (VP/CTO level)
- Collaborate with Forward Deployed Data Engineers to scope migration projects, build Statements of Work, and set customer expectations on delivery timelines and complexity
- Represent Datafold at partner events, field meetups, and customer briefings across the US & Canada
- Provide market and competitive intelligence to product and go-to-market teams; your customer and partner proximity directly shapes product evolution
Requirements:
- 5+ years in enterprise software sales, with at least 2 years selling into the data/analytics space (data platforms, ETL/ELT, data engineering tooling, or adjacent domains)
- Proven track record closing new enterprise logos in the US & Canada
- Experience with partner-led or co-sell sales motions
- Comfort engaging technical buyers: while SQL expertise is not required, you must hold credible conversations with data engineering leads about migration complexity, risk, and timelines
- Outcome-based or professional services sales experience is a strong plus — understanding the difference between selling a fixed-price deliverable and a SaaS license is valuable
- Self-starter with a builder mentality; the motion is proven but the team is early-stage, and you will help define how it scales
