Contentful (now part of Salesforce) is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive with German language skills to drive growth in the DACH markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This is a hybrid role based in Central London, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office.
You will own the end-to-end sales process for top-tier clients, managing a consultative sales approach with professional developers and business leaders. Key responsibilities include:
• Self-generating pipeline through outbound motions in collaboration with marketing and BDR teams
• Driving expansion opportunities within existing DACH territory accounts using a "land and expand" sales model
• Meeting quarterly and annual sales goals through account strategy development, pipeline management, sales reporting, competitive analysis, customer presentations, and proposal creation
• Managing RFI/RFQ requests across internal and customer teams
• Refining the "land-and-expand" model in collaboration with Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success
• Understanding digital experience challenges of prospects and aligning Contentful's ROI to those challenges via value-based selling
• Working with Sales Engineers and Solution Architects to identify technical opportunities
• Developing innovative proposals, positioning complex pricing, and negotiating contracts efficiently
• Collaborating with customer success and marketing teams to ensure best practices are implemented at customer sites
Requirements:
• 6+ years of experience selling technical platforms (SDR, BDR, or Account Executive roles)
• 3+ years of individual quota-carrying sales experience
• 2+ years of growing and expanding existing customer accounts
• Demonstrated expertise closing $100k+ opportunities
• Ability to drive your own pipeline generation with outbound capabilities
• Fluent German language skills (required for DACH market focus)
