DNE Resources, a business unit of AppDirect, is an award-winning energy management firm helping commercial and industrial organizations reduce energy spending, consumption, and environmental impact. DNE manages over $250 million in energy spending across deregulated markets in Canada and the US, and is recognized as one of Canada's Best Workplaces since 2015.
You will prospect and close enterprise-level commercial and industrial clients across Canada and the US, positioning DNE's integrated "Spend Less, Use Less, Harm Less" framework as a long-term energy management partnership. You will manage both inbound leads from DNE's marketing and BDR teams alongside your own outbound pipeline, owning the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed contract.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting energy consumption and risk profile assessments with clients to develop tailored procurement strategies, identifying demand charge savings opportunities and building smarter budget forecasting plans
- Presenting customized energy programs sourced from DNE's trusted supplier network, translating complex rate and distribution structures into clear financial outcomes for enterprise decision-makers
- Driving upsell and renewal conversations across your book of business, layering in efficiency solutions (energy audits, demand response) and sustainability offerings (RECs, carbon offsets, solar)
- Representing DNE's expanded portfolio—including communication services and SaaS solutions through AppDirect—to deliver integrated value to enterprise clients across manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and hospitality verticals
You are a consultative sales professional who builds trust with enterprise decision-makers and turns complex problems into compelling solutions. You thrive in high-accountability environments, take full ownership of your pipeline, and bring both tenacity to prospect and polish to close. You are energized by fast-moving team culture, comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder deals with operations, finance, and procurement leads, and motivated by uncapped earning potential tied directly to results.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience in energy or related commercial services environment serving industrial and commercial clients
- Proven ability to manage complex, consultative sales cycles with enterprise-level stakeholders (operations, finance, procurement) from prospecting through close
- Comfortable working within a structured sales team alongside BDRs and marketing, managing both inbound pipeline and self-generated outbound opportunities simultaneously
- Familiarity with deregulated energy markets in Canada and/or the US is a strong asset; ability to read utility bills and explain rate structures to non-technical decision-makers is a plus
- Fluency in English required to build credibility with enterprise clients across North America; additional languages are a genuine asset
