Telnyx is a profitable, industry-leading connectivity platform that owns its own private global IP network and carrier interconnects. The company provides voice, messaging, wireless, and inference capabilities through APIs and edge technology.
You will join as an Enterprise Account Executive covering the US East region, working in a two-person pod with a dedicated Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE). This is a full-cycle sales role with no handoffs: you own the relationship from initial executive engagement through production deployment.
You will manage a named account list of 30–40 enterprise accounts, narrowing focus to approximately 10 Tier 1 accounts with $1M+ annual potential each. Your responsibilities include:
• Develop a workload thesis for each Tier 1 account: identify the specific production outcome, stakeholder ownership, financial value, and win conditions
• Build and maintain executive relationships with CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and line-of-business budget holders
• Run the complete sales cycle alongside your FDE: prospecting, qualification, commercial architecture design, negotiation, and close
• Establish commercial terms before any custom development begins; maintain discipline around proof-of-concept requirements (named sponsor, written success criteria, production pricing, decision date, signed agreement)
• Expand accounts from initial workload to multiple workloads and revenue growth (e.g., $500K to $2M customers)
• Maintain accurate forecasting and a clean pipeline with no surprises
You will sell outcomes, not SKUs. Enterprises purchase production results—AI contact centers, SOC/NOC agents, global communications platforms, connected mobility, enterprise inference—built on Telnyx primitives. You lead with the business outcome and ROI, not the product menu.
Travel across US East to meet customers in person is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of enterprise sales experience selling CPaaS, UCaaS, CCaaS, telecom, or AI/ML platforms
• Consistent overachievement against seven-figure quotas, with individual deals exceeding $1M
• Credibility with both executive and technical buyers; comfort in boardrooms and architecture reviews
• Hunter mentality with ability to build and own your own pipeline
• Consultative selling capability: can build ROI cases for CFOs and technical cases for VPs of Engineering; can compete effectively against Twilio and Vonage
• Disciplined approach to sales methodology (MEDDPICC, Challenger, SPIN) and sales stack (Salesforce, Outreach, Gong)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong listening ability
BONUS:
• Fortune 500 or large-enterprise new-logo experience in US East
• Experience with complex sales cycles involving RFPs, competitive bake-offs, procurement, security, and legal review
• Working knowledge of SIP trunking, number provisioning, carrier networks, or AI/ML infrastructure
• Established relationships in US East enterprise ecosystem (financial services, media/tech, healthcare, or Boston/DC/Atlanta markets)
