Duckbill Group is hiring an Enterprise Account Executive to sell Skyway, a platform helping companies manage hyperscaler, inference, and GPU infrastructure procurement, cost forecasting, and contract management. The role owns the full sales cycle—qualification, discovery, follow-up, buying group coordination, and close—for enterprise customers including AI labs, inference providers, and AI-native software companies making seven to ten-figure compute decisions. You'll build pipeline continuously through inbound leads, outbound prospecting, closed-lost re-engagement, referrals, events, and the Duckbill customer network. Sales cycles typically run 90–120 days; you'll need to stay close to accounts, maintain momentum, and distinguish real urgency from wishful thinking. The company does not have an SDR team, so while inbound is consistent and converts well, you'll drive your own pipeline development. In your first 30 days, you'll learn the market, customer problems, the Duckbill story, and deal qualification methodology. After that, you'll run more pipeline independently and take over opportunities already in flight. You'll maintain HubSpot as a living system—notes, next steps, closed-lost reasons, and deal context must stay current so the team can learn from patterns. You'll also work closely with the product team, surfacing buyer confusion, pitch effectiveness, and product-market fit signals. Duckbill has spent seven years helping enterprises understand and negotiate cloud and AI spend, working with hundreds of companies and negotiating tens of billions in contracts. The founding AE has moved into Head of Sales; now the company is scaling the team. You'll inherit demand, active opportunities, and a known brand in a market Duckbill has cultivated for years. The company is small (~20 people), hires for ownership, and values pace and follow-through. You'll use AI throughout your work—account research, call prep, follow-up, summarization, messaging tests, pipeline analysis. The buyer landscape is shifting: while traditional FinOps and cloud cost teams remain, the best conversations increasingly happen with AI-native or AI-active companies where engineering, finance, and infrastructure leaders converge. You may enter through engineering, finance, infrastructure, or procurement; you'll help the customer figure out who needs to be in the room.
