Salary: USD 132,000 - 220,000 / annual
Hudl is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers focused on Fan and Club products. You will lead teams that power millions of tickets sold, millions of livestreaming hours, and Club sports programs and high school athletic departments nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead team-level strategy and shape direction for multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment with Hudl's overall vision and market positioning
- Manage and develop engineers ranging from senior to early-career, fostering a high-performance, team-oriented culture through mentoring, leadership development, and performance management
- Collaborate across disciplines with Product Management, Design, and other leaders to plan and deliver product enhancements
- Serve as a technical leader guiding teams in developing robust, scalable cloud-based solutions
- Champion AI and agentic engineering practices, driving adoption of AI development tooling to accelerate the software development lifecycle

Requirements:
- Extensive experience in cloud technology and building highly scalable software solutions, with proven track record designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems handling millions of livestreams and transactions
- Demonstrated track record driving technical strategy and leading engineering efforts, setting technical direction for product areas and guiding teams toward successful outcomes aligned with company goals
- Strong managerial experience leading engineering teams, with skills in career coaching and performance management
- AI-forward mindset and strong bias for agentic engineering techniques; ability to drive impactful and efficient adoption of AI coding tools across teams
- Proven communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and teams; ability to articulate ideas clearly and partner effectively with Product Management and Design
- Experience in product partnership, with proven ability to partner with Product Managers to shape and solidify team roadmap
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment
Nice-to-Haves:
- Video processing and storage experience (ffmpeg, HLS, RTMP, SRT, or similar)
- Transaction processing and financial systems experience (Stripe, Stripe Connect, financial ledger systems)
- Professional background in TypeScript, React, GraphQL, C#, MongoDB, and AWS
- Mobile development experience (React Native, native iOS, or Android)
- Experience working with hybrid or remote teams
