Raisin is a leading fintech platform connecting consumers with banks across the EU, UK, and US to provide better savings and investment products. The company manages over 80 billion euros in assets for more than one million investors.
The B2B Integrations Team (BIT) powers Raisin's core B2B solutions end-to-end, building applications and services that enable global partners to sell deposits. The team owns the full B2B backend ecosystem, from modern microservices to legacy systems, and is responsible for the complete service lifecycle: architectural design, development, QA, delivery, and 24/7 production support.
As Engineering Lead, you will manage a team of backend engineers while remaining a hands-on technical contributor. You are responsible for end-to-end delivery cycles, from requirements analysis through implementation, QA, and production support. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering an environment of open communication and trust
- Recruit, hire, and onboard engineers; develop their technical and soft skills
- Champion clean, maintainable code across the tech stack (primarily Java and Python)
- Proactively resolve impediments and mitigate risks; escalate issues with clear mitigation plans
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Tech Leads on strategy, planning, and OKR definition
- Drive individual development plans aligned with team and company goals
- Recognize high performance and address low performance promptly
- Maintain strong performance standards and delivery focus
You bring at least 8 years of hands-on backend engineering experience (Java, Python) and at least 2 years of people management experience in remote settings. You have hands-on experience with technical platform transitions, AWS services, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures. You are comfortable with open code and architecture discussions, manage software projects collaboratively, and have deep knowledge of modern backend development lifecycle. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) is expected.
