Unlearn.AI is seeking an Engagement Director to lead customer delivery and cross-functional coordination for biopharmaceutical clients. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will own the customer relationship post-contract signature, serving as the bridge between delivery and commercial teams. Key responsibilities include building deep, trusting relationships with pharma sponsors; coordinating customer-facing timelines, milestones, and deliverables; and identifying expansion opportunities. You will proactively identify risks and dependencies in customer projects, leading cross-team problem-solving to resolve issues before they impact delivery. You'll drive accountability and clear communication across delivery teams, define priorities, and keep customer projects on track. You will own roadmap visibility across customer engagements, tracking timelines, key milestones, interdependencies, and resource needs to inform leadership planning. You'll establish project management practices, cadences, and tooling that create a single source of truth without heavyweight process overhead. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience delivering services or technology to clinical development groups at pharma or biotech sponsors (CRO, clinical tech vendor, or consulting). You must have extensive, demonstrated fluency in the pharma and clinical development landscape, with direct sponsor-facing account ownership and a track record of leading cross-functional teams to delivery on complex engagements that span services, technology, and software products. Experience working between commercial and delivery/technical teams is essential. You'll need exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to lead and influence without direct authority. Strong problem-solving instincts and a proactive approach to surfacing and resolving risks are critical. Exposure to biostatistics or quantitative methods is strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree in life sciences or technical discipline is a plus. You must be comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment and either based locally in SF Bay Area or remote with willingness to travel 25% of the time.
