OpenAI's Enablement Lead, Knowledge Work role is a post-sales enablement specialist focused on driving customer adoption and sustained impact of OpenAI's product suite, including ChatGPT Enterprise and Agents. The role blends product fluency, instructional design, and customer advisory to help enterprise organizations translate AI capabilities into real business outcomes.
You will own the full customer enablement lifecycle—from initial onboarding through expansion and long-term adoption. Key responsibilities include designing and delivering high-impact enablement experiences such as onboarding sessions, advanced capability trainings, executive briefings, hackathons, and hands-on workshops tailored to audiences ranging from C-suite executives to technical practitioners and everyday business users.
As a Subject Matter Expert for designated product areas, you will build deep expertise in OpenAI's technology, support internal enablement efforts, identify emerging customer use cases, and aggregate customer feedback to inform product development. You will partner closely with Sales, Solution Architects, and Delivery Leads to drive adoption across the core product suite.
Success means accelerating customer confidence, increasing product adoption, supporting new product launches, and helping customers connect product features to tangible outcomes—such as productivity gains, operational efficiency, cost reduction, and revenue impact. You will develop reusable training assets, playbooks, and best practices based on patterns observed across customers and regions, creating scalable approaches that improve adoption across the broader customer base.
The role requires 6+ years of customer-facing, enablement, or instructional experience in complex enterprise environments. You should have exceptional presentation and communication skills, particularly when translating AI capabilities into clear, practical value for senior audiences. Strong product fluency across ChatGPT, Agents, and the broader OpenAI ecosystem is essential, along with the ability to lead workshops, design learning journeys, and facilitate live sessions while thinking on your feet and adapting to real-time questions. You bring a humble attitude, curiosity about emerging AI capabilities, and a commitment to fostering safe and responsible AI evolution.
