6sense is hiring an Employment Counsel to anchor employment law and compliance work while flexing across the broader legal function as business needs evolve. This role is designed for an attorney with 5 years of overall legal experience, including at least 2 years of meaningful employment law experience, who wants to build broad in-house judgment rather than remain narrowly specialized. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the People team and take meaningful ownership of employment counseling, investigations, policies, compliance, and related matters. Once the employment portfolio is well managed, you may also support basic corporate governance and other legal department priorities. You will use AI thoughtfully to accelerate your work while maintaining the accuracy, judgment, confidentiality, and accountability expected of legal counsel. Key responsibilities include: owning day-to-day employment law matters such as workplace policies, performance management, investigations, leave and accommodation questions, wage-and-hour issues, employee relations, and separations across jurisdictions; drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment documents including offer letters, separation and settlement agreements, and employment-related memos; building and maintaining compliance infrastructure through regulatory monitoring, training, policy review, audits, and investigations; supporting corporate governance including subsidiary maintenance and board materials; flexing across commercial, privacy, product, IP, and litigation matters as needed; using AI as a core tool for research, drafting, and analysis while validating outputs; exercising sound judgment and knowing when to escalate to specialists or outside counsel; partnering directly with People, Finance, Sales, Product, Security, and other stakeholders; and building scalable playbooks and templates. Required qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; 4-5 years of relevant legal experience in-house, in private practice, or a combination; at least 2 years of meaningful employment law experience; experience supporting employment compliance, policies, training, investigations, and audits; and demonstrated comfort with AI tools and legal technology. The 6sense legal team spans commercial, privacy, product, corporate, employment, IP, and legal operations, building a function that is operationally excellent, people-centered, and genuinely AI-forward.
