The company operates fully remotely with teams distributed across six continents. As an Employee Relations Business Partner (Lifecycle Specialist) for the EMEA region, you will serve as a critical extension of Remote's clients' HR teams, managing complex employee lifecycle matters with a focus on legal compliance and exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include: **Offboarding & Separations**: Manage end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions, ensuring superior offboarding experiences. Handle terminations, resignations, transfers, and redundancy processes while maintaining strict legal compliance. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and separation negotiations. Draft and administer termination documents with precision, ensuring adherence to privacy and confidentiality regulations. **Employee Relations Support**: Provide first-level guidance on workplace concerns, conduct preliminary assessments of employee relations matters, and identify applicable local regulations. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (payroll, legal, government bodies, trade unions) to ensure appropriate handling. Support clients in understanding progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements. **Stakeholder Coordination**: Liaise with multiple internal teams (Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance) and external parties to ensure compliant and timely administration of employee exits. Process offboarding on Remote's HRIS platform and serve as subject-matter expert on offboarding matters. **Process Improvement**: Actively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and product development to enhance customer and employee experiences. Contribute to strategic initiatives aligned with Remote's core values of innovation and excellence. You will work with clients across diverse regulatory environments, requiring strong judgment, negotiation skills, and deep knowledge of international employment law. The role demands attention to detail, empathy in handling sensitive transitions, and the ability to balance competing stakeholder interests while maintaining compliance.
