CesiumAstro develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. The Skylark product line focuses on rapid design, build, and test of cutting-edge active phased array antennas (AESA) for terrestrial and airborne applications, spanning high-power ground terminals for missile defense to commercial airline and helicopter connectivity solutions. As an Embedded Software Engineer II, you will support the development of embedded software for aerospace communications and defense systems. This role applies established engineering principles and development processes to design, implement, and integrate software for embedded Linux platforms. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers or engineering management, contributing to the full software development lifecycle including implementation, integration, testing, and qualification. Key responsibilities include: - Developing embedded Linux applications, device drivers, and supporting libraries - Assisting with kernel customization, bootloaders, and board bring-up - Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to support system performance and integration - Contributing to the delivery of reliable embedded software solutions for aerospace and defense applications This is a hands-on role in a dynamic, cross-functional work environment where you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge space and defense technology. The position requires a U.S. citizen or eligible individual per U.S. Government Space Technology Export Regulations.
