CesiumAstro develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join our hardware team in Westminster, CO.
In this role, you will own PCB-level implementation and board-level development from design through production. Your responsibilities include translating requirements into robust hardware designs, ensuring alignment with system performance, reliability, and mission objectives. You will contribute to subsystem definition, integration, and troubleshooting across the full product lifecycle.
This is a hands-on position in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers specializing in hardware, software, FPGAs, thermal, mechanical, and other disciplines. The role emphasizes mentorship and rapid technical growth—you will be supported by senior engineers while taking ownership of meaningful hardware projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement PCB-level solutions for space and airborne systems
- Develop board-level designs from concept through production
- Contribute to subsystem integration and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, FPGA, mechanical, thermal)
- Ensure designs meet system performance and reliability requirements
