The company designs, builds, and operates a global autonomous logistics system with over 140 million commercial autonomous miles safely flown. As Electrical Deployments Lead, you will oversee the electrical execution of new Zipline sites across Nigeria, working directly with contractors, deployment teams, and internal engineering partners from design review through commissioning and operational handover. This is a senior individual contributor role providing technical leadership through field oversight and vendor management. You will translate Zipline's electrical designs and standards into practical local installations that meet applicable Nigerian codes, regulations, infrastructure constraints, and site conditions. The role is highly field-oriented and requires strong technical judgment. Key responsibilities: - Own electrical execution of new Zipline sites in Nigeria from design review through operational handover - Review electrical designs, drawings, bills of materials, and installation plans; identify risks related to Nigerian codes, regulations, infrastructure, and site conditions; coordinate adaptations with Engineering - Support development and evaluation of RFPs and RFQs for electrical contractors and vendors - Direct and oversee electrical contractors in the field, ensuring work meets safety, quality, schedule, and reliability standards - Lead electrical inspections, commissioning, acceptance testing, defect resolution, and handover documentation - Troubleshoot electrical and infrastructure issues during deployment and partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Country Leadership to resolve risks Requirements: - 8+ years of relevant experience in electrical design, installation, or field deployment, including substantial contractor oversight and strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills - Active COREN registration as an Engineer - Direct experience working with NEMSA requirements and inspectors; NEMSA certification preferred - Deep working knowledge of applicable Nigerian electrical codes, standards, and regulations, plus familiarity with at least one widely used international electrical code or standard (NEC, BS 7671, or IEC 60364) - NFPA 70E, EN 50110, or equivalent electrical safety training - International experience deploying complex electrical systems across varied operating environments or adapting foreign-sourced systems to local conditions, including facilities and industrial automation systems - Demonstrated experience managing electrical contractors and overseeing complex field installations, with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills - Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Nigeria and be on-site for extended deployment phases; must be based in or able to relocate to Nigeria - Legal authorization to work in Nigeria
