Salary: USD 236,600 - 439,400 / annual
Join Novartis (via DTX Pharma acquisition) as Executive Director of Portfolio Prioritization & Value Realization. This remote role reports to senior leadership and owns enterprise-wide transformation portfolio governance, prioritization, and value realization across one of the world's largest healthcare companies.
You will lead an integrated transformation portfolio spanning priorities, capacity, value, dependencies, risk, and readiness. Key responsibilities include: driving portfolio prioritization decisions to maximize business impact and strategic value; recommending sequencing and investment trade-offs; establishing enterprise-wide value realization frameworks and benefit tracking; partnering with Finance to validate business cases and performance measures; delivering actionable portfolio insights and scenario analyses to executives; identifying risks and execution challenges; overseeing AI use-case intake and governance; fostering alignment across Strategy, Finance, Technology, and business leaders; and building/leading a high-performing team.
You will work cross-functionally with senior leaders, Finance, Strategy, Technology, and business functions to translate bold transformation ambitions into sustainable results. The role requires strong financial acumen, portfolio governance expertise, and the ability to create fact-based transparency and force enterprise-level decisions when demand exceeds capacity.
Required: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, analytics, life sciences, healthcare, engineering, or related field. 12+ years in portfolio management, enterprise PMO, transformation office, strategy execution, finance, consulting, or business operations. Proven experience in pharma, biotech, healthcare, or consulting with high-volume intake, AI/digital case review, transformation funding, and benefits realization. Demonstrated ability to build governance frameworks, intake processes, prioritization logic, decision forums, value taxonomies, scorecards, and executive reporting. Strong experience challenging business cases, baselines, assumptions, and identifying capacity/readiness gaps. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
Desirable: Experience with transformation analytics, Power BI/Tableau, portfolio management tools, AI use-case triage, and Agile portfolio models. Partnership experience with Finance, Strategy, Commercial, Technology, P&O, Legal, and business leaders on prioritization and governance.
