As an E-Commerce Fulfillment Specialist, you will be the operational backbone ensuring every online order reaches customers accurately and on time. You'll report to the Sr. Logistics Manager and serve as the day-to-day operational lead for the company's 3PL (third-party logistics) partners, while also acting as the critical link between the New Product Innovation team and Direct-to-Consumer fulfillment operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily relationships with 3PL partners, leading weekly troubleshooting meetings, and holding partners accountable to operational standards
- Monitoring DTC order flow across fulfillment nodes to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped within SLA
- Tracking and resolving fulfillment exceptions (backorders, mis-picks, damaged inventory, shipping delays) and managing billbacks up to $50,000
- Maintaining inbound shipments and inventory levels across nodes, including SKUs and packaging materials, with real-time flagging of shortages and risks
- Coordinating fulfillment readiness for new product launches, including SKU setup, packaging specifications, and 3PL onboarding
- Supporting kitting and bundle fulfillment by confirming component availability and creating SOPs
- Partnering with Procurement on packout cost-effectiveness and box sourcing
- Coordinating weekly allocation calls with Marketing and driving operational execution
- Resolving order-level issues with Customer Service (wrong items, late deliveries, damages, mis-ships)
- Reporting fulfillment performance metrics (on-time ship rate, error rate, cost per order, damages) and conducting monthly audits
- Analyzing recurring issues, recommending process improvements, and maintaining/creating fulfillment SOPs
- Making day-to-day DTC fulfillment decisions and implementing process changes as appropriate
The role requires responsiveness to urgent business matters outside standard business hours when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must-haves:
- 21 years of age or older at time of application
- 4+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, fulfillment, logistics, or supply chain
- Direct experience working with 3PL partners in a DTC or e-commerce environment (any product category acceptable)
- Hands-on experience with a WMS or 3PL portal and a DTC order management platform (e.g., Shopify)
- Working proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (lookups, pivot tables, basic reporting)
- Availability to respond to urgent business matters outside standard business hours when necessary
Nice-to-haves:
- Fulfillment experience in beverage, CPG, or regulated products (alcohol, THC/hemp-derived)
- Experience managing kitting or bundle SKUs
- Experience supporting both DTC and wholesale fulfillment channels
