Kestra Medical, a medical device company founded in 2014 specializing in cardiac wearable technologies, seeks a DME Billing Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the billing team. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and compliant billing of customer orders to federal, state, and commercial insurance plans, with a focus on minimizing bad debt and improving cash flow.
Key responsibilities include managing a team of Billing Associates with oversight of scheduling, hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. You will participate in leadership meetings, develop training materials, and manage multiple aspects of the billing function including claim submission issues, balance adjustments, and financial targets. The role requires ensuring accurate data entry into the Patient Management Billings System (Bonafide) to obtain proper reimbursement from various funding sources.
You will partner with collections and sales leaders to identify trends and prevent recurring issues, develop strategic plans for the revenue cycle process, and serve as the escalated point of contact for billing-related problems. The position demands strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to regulatory compliance, and the ability to drive a culture of inclusion and engagement through regular team meetings, one-on-ones, and team-building activities.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in DME/HME billing, and minimum 3 years of management experience. Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare policy and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential. Preferred qualifications include 6+ years of manager-level leadership experience and familiarity with Bonafide and Salesforce systems.
