Salary: USD 88,000 - 125,000 / annual

In this role, you'll be a key part of 9fin's content and market intelligence function, breaking news on distressed debt situations, writing feature articles that connect daily developments to broader market trends, and generating a consistent stream of story ideas. You'll use 9fin's proprietary technology to identify emerging opportunities and ensure comprehensive, timely coverage of the distressed debt market. Your work will directly inform and support the firm's institutional clients as they navigate complex credit situations. Key responsibilities include: - Breaking and reporting on distressed debt news, from deteriorating company earnings through out-of-court restructurings - Writing longer-form feature articles that synthesize daily news into market insights - Identifying new coverage opportunities and developing innovative angles - Leveraging 9fin's technology platform to monitor markets and spot emerging situations - Maintaining a deep network of sources and managing story pipelines and deadlines The role offers hybrid flexibility, allowing you to decide how, where, and when you do your best work. 9fin provides significant responsibility, abundant growth opportunities, and a platform to excel within a scaling fintech startup.
