ICON is a construction technology company developing robotics, intelligent software systems, and advanced materials for building on Earth and beyond. The Director, Total Rewards will own compensation, benefits, and rewards strategy end-to-end, building and leading the Total Rewards function from the ground up. Reporting to the SVP of Human Resources, this role directs the function through a growing team, sets strategy and policy, and partners with senior leadership on decisions that determine how ICON pays and cares for its people. The role requires navigating distinct rewards needs across ICON's divisions, including government, military, and space work where compensation practices for cleared and contract-funded roles differ from commercial and construction work. The Director will work alongside Finance, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and division leaders to keep pay equitable, compliant, and financially sustainable. Minimum qualifications: 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards, including ownership of a compensation structure or benefits program; 5+ years of people management experience or demonstrated experience building and leading a function; demonstrated experience designing or substantially managing salary structures, bands, and market benchmarking; and experience administering or designing benefits programs.
