The firm operates across eight offices globally (Boston, New York, Chicago, Menlo Park, Manchester NH, London, Tokyo) and maintains a 5-day-in-office culture emphasizing collaboration and mentorship. The Director, Talent Development is a hands-on individual contributor role responsible for building the firm's talent development capability and culture of continuous learning. This is not a substitute manager role but rather an enabler of manager and employee ownership of development. Key responsibilities include: **Individual Development Planning & Employee Growth**: Partner with managers to create meaningful Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for every employee. Coach managers on identifying capability gaps, setting development priorities, and selecting practical learning experiences. Meet directly with employees to support development planning while reinforcing manager ownership. Help identify and remove barriers limiting performance and execution. Develop practical tools and templates that enable managers to lead development conversations. **Manager Effectiveness & Leadership Development**: Design and deliver enterprise learning programs with emphasis on manager effectiveness and leadership development for mid-level managers. Strengthen manager capability through coaching and feedback translation. Build stronger managers who can develop their own teams more effectively. **Learning Culture & AI-Enabled Ways of Working**: Design practical learning experiences aligned with business priorities. Create AI-enabled learning approaches and ways of working. Build a learning culture that raises the performance bar across the firm. **Performance & Execution**: Work with managers to improve employee capability and execution in current roles. Prepare high-potential employees for increasing responsibility. Advance the firm's belief that great teammates continuously learn, take ownership, simplify, and improve how work gets done. Success is measured by building stronger managers, more capable employees, and demonstrable improvements in firm-wide performance and execution.
