Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead procurement, planning, and supplier quality operations for the company's fusion energy projects. This is a people-management role overseeing a direct team of procurement, planning, and supplier quality professionals.
The Director will own strategic sourcing, tactical procurement, supplier management, supplier development and reliability, and supply chain project management across all active projects including SPARC, ARC, and R&D initiatives. Scope covers raw materials, machine parts, systems (process and electrical), and construction procurement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the supply chain management team and professionals reporting to the position
- Executing overall supply chain organizational strategy and execution
- Ensuring alignment with internal customers and interfacing functions at leadership level
- Managing supplier relationships, quality, and reliability
- Overseeing supply chain project management across multiple concurrent initiatives
