PermitFlow is an applied AI company transforming construction permitting workflows. The company has raised over $90M (Series B) from top-tier investors including Accel, Kleiner Perkins, Y Combinator, and others, and has already delivered impact across $20B+ in development projects. As Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will own the full partner ecosystem strategy and execution. Your mandate is to deepen existing partnerships and aggressively expand into new categories. You'll report to the VP of Sales and work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and the executive team. Key responsibilities include: - Define partner strategy by mapping critical categories (FSM/ISV, OEM/manufacturer, distributor, construction management, financing, trade associations, govtech, adjacent SaaS) and identifying 5-10 strategic partners to pursue deeply. - Recruit and sign foundational partners including ISVs (ServiceTitan, AccuLynx, JobNimbus, Procore, Buildertrend), OEMs and distributors in HVAC/roofing/windows/doors/solar, financing partners, and trade associations. - Drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline with clear ARR targets and revenue accountability. - Build joint go-to-market motions with Marketing (co-branded campaigns, webinars, events) and Sales (co-sell motions, account mapping). - Own contract structuring and negotiation, establishing standard partnership agreement templates with Legal. - Serve as the product feedback loop from the ecosystem, funneling integration requirements and roadmap input back to Product. - Build partner program infrastructure including tiering framework, onboarding playbook, enablement assets, scorecards, and QBR cadence. - Represent PermitFlow externally at industry events (IRE, AHR Expo, NAHB IBS, ServiceTitan Pantheon, etc.). The role offers hybrid work (3 days/week in NYC office) with direct access to leadership, in-office meals, travel to partners and customers, competitive salary, meaningful equity, comprehensive benefits, flexible PTO, and paid family leave. REQUIREMENTS: - 8+ years in Partnerships, Business Development, or Channel Sales, ideally at B2B SaaS, vertical SaaS, ConTech, PropTech, or InsurTech companies. Must have signed real deals, run partner numbers, and built joint motions that produced pipeline. - Track record of expanding and scaling partnerships (not just maintaining). Demonstrated ability to re-engineer underperforming partnerships into revenue generators and close material net-new partners. - Quota/revenue accountability experience. Must have owned partner-sourced pipeline numbers or rev share targets and hit or exceeded them. Fluency with funnel, conversion math, and partner economics required. - Ecosystem fluency in home services/construction/contractor tech is a strong plus. Experience with FSMs (ServiceTitan, AccuLynx, JobNimbus, Workiz, FieldRoutes), construction management platforms (Procore, Buildertrend), OEMs (GAF, Owens Corning, Carrier, Trane, Pella, Andersen), or financing platforms (GreenSky, Service Finance, Sunlight) is a major edge. - Executive-level presence. Must have pitched VPs and C-suite at $500M+ companies. Polished with executives, direct with operators, adaptable to both. - Commercial sharpness. Ability to structure deals that protect PermitFlow's economics. Know when to walk, when to push, and when to compromise. - Builder mindset. Comfortable writing playbooks, standard contracts, QBR templates, and scorecards. See infrastructure as the unlock for scale. - High agency, low ego. Comfortable in rooms with CEO, CRO, Head of Product, and partner executives. Adapt, contribute, and take initiative without waiting for direction. Differentiators: - Built or scaled integration partner programs with FSMs and CRMs (ServiceTitan, AccuLynx, JobNimbus, FieldEdge, Workiz, Salesforce, Procore, Buildertrend). - Prior partnerships with HVAC, roofing, windows, doors, or solar OEMs or major distributors (ABC Supply, Beacon, SRS, Ferguson). - Active relationships in PE-backed home services rollup ecosystem. - Experience with AHJs/govtech platforms (Accela, Tyler, OpenGov), embedded contractor financing, or relevant trade associations (NRCA, NAHB, ACCA, ABC).
