SoFi is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance to lead financial strategy and capital allocation for its Checking & Savings and Credit Card business lines. This is a senior leadership role within the Strategic Finance team, responsible for shaping SoFi's capital allocation strategy by assessing investment opportunities, framing trade-offs, and prioritizing resources against key growth objectives. Key responsibilities include owning the financial strategy, multi-year plans, annual operating plans, and rolling forecasts for the two business units. You will serve as a strategic thought partner to business unit leaders, translating financial and operational data into actionable insights that shape growth strategy and performance. The role requires building and analyzing customer and product-level unit economics including LTV, CAC, payback periods, and risk-adjusted returns across cohorts, acquisition channels, products, and member segments. You will drive disciplined capital allocation through business cases, trade-off analyses, and post-investment performance measurement. This includes partnering with Product, Marketing, Risk, Operations, Treasury, Accounting, and Data teams to evaluate new products, pricing strategies, rewards programs, partnerships, and operating initiatives. The role involves leading scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to assess impacts of interest rate changes, member behavior, credit performance, and competitive dynamics. A critical component is developing business cases for major initiatives and establishing post-investment measurement processes to evaluate realized returns and improve future capital-allocation decisions. You will synthesize complex analyses into clear, compelling recommendations for Executive Leadership. The role also emphasizes identifying and scaling high-impact AI use cases to expand Strategic Finance's capabilities and analytical rigor. You will lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team while fostering strong cross-functional collaboration, accountability, and mentorship. This requires 12+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, FP&A, investment banking, or related fields, ideally within fintech or consumer financial services. Deep expertise in consumer financial-services economics and credit card unit economics is essential. You must demonstrate expert financial modeling skills, fluency with AI tools, and the ability to influence senior decision-makers. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field is required.
