UiPath is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the Test Cloud platform team, a suite of AI-powered testing solutions that consolidates the testing lifecycle through integrations with leading test management and ALM tools. In this role, you will drive the architecture and delivery of platform systems spanning backend services, AI and agentic capabilities, and end-to-end product experiences that power the next generation of intelligent, autonomous testing.
You will bring deep backend expertise in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure while operating with strong full-stack judgment to shape architectural decisions across the entire engineering stack. Your technical leadership will define and execute the engineering vision, establish engineering standards and design principles for AI-native product development, and drive architectural decisions across backend, frontend, and AI systems.
Key responsibilities include leading the development of production-grade AI applications leveraging LLMs, agents, tool-calling frameworks, and workflow orchestration systems. You will guide teams in designing agentic systems utilizing LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent frameworks, champion experimentation and rapid prototyping while ensuring production readiness and scalability, and drive adoption of modern AI engineering practices including evaluation frameworks, regression testing, observability, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
Organizationally, you will build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams across multiple product areas, partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and Business stakeholders to align technology investments with strategic objectives, and foster a culture of ownership, innovation, accountability, and customer obsession. You will oversee end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives, drive engineering productivity through AI-powered development tools and modern software development practices, and ensure operational excellence through robust CI/CD pipelines, observability, reliability engineering, and cloud-native architectures.
The Test Cloud suite offers broad coverage across functional, performance, and mobile testing domains, leveraging LLM-powered and autopilot capabilities to accelerate test creation, improve test coverage, enable self-healing and adaptive tests, and significantly reduce manual effort. The team works with a modern technology stack including .NET Core, C#, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, LLMs, and Angular, collaborating closely with product management to ideate, design, and deliver features end-to-end.
