Graphcore, a leader in AI computing systems and member of the SoftBank Group, is establishing a new AI Engineering Campus in Bengaluru. This role leads post-silicon validation for next-generation AI system-on-chip (SoC) designs that power high-performance AI systems.
As SoC Validation Lead, you will own the post-silicon validation strategy and execution across the full AI SoC, bridging silicon, firmware, and platform layers. You will lead a team responsible for enabling pre-production software to run reliably on new silicon and demonstrating that silicon meets production-grade quality, reliability, and functionality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and refining post-silicon validation approaches to ensure reliable silicon delivery, architectural correctness, feature robustness, and system-scale reliability
- Leading cross-domain debug and issue resolution spanning silicon, firmware, operating systems, and platform interactions
- Driving collaboration between design, software, and validation teams to align on quality objectives and debug priorities
- Advancing validation automation and scalable infrastructure (emulation, prototyping, large-scale clusters) to improve coverage and reduce debug time
- Fostering continuous improvement in validation methods, automation, and analysis
- Communicating validation progress, risks, and quality indicators to executive teams and key partners
You are a systems thinker comfortable across hardware-software boundaries, a collaborative leader who builds trust across diverse teams, and skilled at debugging complex post-silicon issues. You communicate clearly in fast-paced environments and are committed to developing high-performing teams.
Required: Bachelor's in Electronic Engineering (Master's preferred); 15-20 years in silicon/system/platform validation with 5-10 years in technical leadership; proven experience leading post-silicon validation and bring-up for complex SoCs (AI, GPU, or CPU); strong understanding of SoC architecture, coherency protocols, power management, and interconnects; expertise in debug tools, DFT infrastructure, and validation automation; proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Linux environments.
