DELFI Diagnostics is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Market Access & Reimbursement to lead the company's strategy and execution in navigating the complex healthcare reimbursement landscape for its innovative blood-based cancer detection platform.
DELFI is developing next-generation, blood-based tests using advanced machine-learning methods applied to whole-genome sequencing data. The company's flagship platform, DELFI (DNA EvaLuation of Fragments for early Interception), leverages fragmentomics—the discovery that cancer cells leave distinctive patterns in cell-free DNA fragments. FirstLook Lung, the company's first laboratory-developed screening test, uses millions of data points to identify individuals who may have lung cancer with a 99.8% negative predictive value.
In this Director-level role, you will own market access strategy, reimbursement pathways, and payer relationships to ensure DELFI's tests achieve broad adoption and coverage. You will work cross-functionally with clinical, regulatory, commercial, and executive leadership to develop and execute reimbursement strategies, manage payer negotiations, and build health economics evidence to support coverage decisions. This is a high-impact position at a critical inflection point as the company scales from development into clinical deployment and commercialization.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in healthcare reimbursement, payer strategy, and market access for diagnostic or therapeutic companies, ideally with experience navigating novel test categories. You should have a track record of securing coverage and reimbursement for innovative healthcare solutions, strong relationships within the payer ecosystem, and the ability to translate clinical evidence into compelling health economics narratives.
DELFI operates with 1-2 designated in-office working days per week for employees within 50 miles of Palo Alto, CA or Baltimore, MD offices, with flexibility for remote work otherwise.
