Lambda is hiring a Director of Product Management for Foundations to own product strategy for compute, storage, and networking—the core infrastructure Lambda sells to AI researchers, enterprises, and hyperscalers. This is a critical leadership role combining individual contribution with team building.
You will define products across three domains (compute, storage, networking), own pricing and packaging, set roadmaps that engineering and sales can plan against, and ensure a seamless customer experience for distributed training and inference workloads. You'll drive hardware productization for new GPU platform generations, manage multi-year customer commitments, and lead product integration with NVIDIA as a strategic partner.
This is a player-coach role. You'll hire and develop product managers who can translate ambiguous technical and commercial problems into clear product definition. You'll establish product planning, review, and launch mechanisms across engineering, sales, finance, support, and operations. You'll stay hands-on with the work while building the next generation of product leaders.
Lambda values product managers defined by three qualities: insight (analyzing data to understand customer and business impact), influence (winning buy-in from engineers, designers, executives, and partners without relying on authority), and execution (delivering to customers and iterating based on feedback).
The role requires 4 days per week in the Bellevue or San Francisco office; Tuesday is Lambda's designated work-from-home day. You'll work closely with hardware constraints, platform transitions, and supply timing that shape infrastructure roadmaps.
