Lumilens is building photonics infrastructure for AI supercomputing, including chip-to-chip optical interconnects and scalable photonic engines. The company is Series B-funded and led by industry veterans. As Director of Product Line Management for Co-Packaging Optical Solutions, you will own the technical vision and execution of optical hardware products for high-speed optical networks. You will drive the product development program across internal teams and external manufacturing partners, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Key responsibilities include: - Lead execution of optical hardware product development programs from concept through production launch - Partner with development teams to identify technical gaps and drive solutions to meet committed timelines - Manage manufacturing partners through design verification, reliability testing, compliance testing, and production readiness - Coordinate across photonics design, hardware design, packaging, manufacturing, quality engineering, product marketing, and supply chain teams - Prepare internal teams and materials to support customer engagement - Facilitate supplier technical discussions to ensure design requirements are met - Validate qualified suppliers and ensure all production release requirements are satisfied - Lead preparation and presentation of technical reviews, reliability reports, and risk assessments for internal and customer stakeholders You will need an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Materials Science, or equivalent hands-on experience in photonics reliability engineering. Required expertise includes photonics device physics, photonics packaging, failure mechanisms, and relevant standards (GR-468, Telcordia, JEDEC, MIL-STD). You should have demonstrated success managing NPI programs and product qualification from concept through volume production, with experience in telecom/datacom markets. Preferred qualifications include project management experience in integrated photonics packaging and co-design, design-for-manufacturability and cost optimization, and willingness to travel to suppliers and manufacturing partners during design and transfer phases.
