ServiceNow is seeking a Director of Product Design to lead its design organization and shape the future of workplace collaboration and productivity. In this role, you will directly manage 8-10 designers and/or design managers, overseeing a portfolio of products while mentoring your team. You'll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams from strategic planning through tactical execution, ensuring a unified and cohesive experience across the ServiceNow ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading user needs assessment, task analysis, and user research to inform design strategy
- Developing high-level task flows, storyboards, and design documents to communicate vision
- Overseeing detailed mockups, prototypes, and behavior specifications from your team
- Ensuring consistent experiences across mobile and desktop platforms
- Participating in the development and maintenance of the company's design system
- Overseeing UI layouts, controls, labels, and graphical elements with a focus on experience unification
- Working closely with product management on UX ideation and innovation
- Leveraging AI and machine learning to revolutionize how people work
You'll be expected to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, agile environment, demonstrating high initiative and a "make it work" ethos. Travel up to 20% annually is required.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of enterprise product design experience
- At least 8 years of visual and interaction design, with 5 years of Experience Design or equivalent
- At least 3+ years of experience managing design teams
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes and decision-making
- An inspiring portfolio representing your design process
- Demonstrated experience defining and/or working with robust design systems
- Demonstration of accessible projects you have built
- Expert proficiency with Sketch, Photoshop, or other design tools
- Ability to do rapid prototyping in Axure, Keynote, Framer, Principle, or similar tools
- Strong ability to distill complex problems into clean solutions
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and technical problem-solving skills
- Obsessed with UX perfection in iterative, agile development environments
- Expertise in one or more product spaces: IT Security Management, IT Operations Management, Security Operations, HR Service Delivery, Customer Service Management, or Finance & Legal
- Experience with WCAG 2.0/2.1 AA compliance is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the year
