Motive is seeking a Director of Product Design to lead design strategy and execution for Spend Management and Workforce Management product teams. The role encompasses fleet cards, bill pay, spend controls, driver onboarding, qualifications, rewards, training, and performance management features. You will report to the VP of Design and manage a team of product designers, fostering a high-performance design culture through mentorship and coaching. Key responsibilities include driving strategic design initiatives aligned with business objectives, defining and communicating a cohesive design vision for the Fleet Management platform, and championing user-centered design across the organization. You will lead design projects end-to-end from strategic framing through execution and iteration, establish design standards and best practices, and contribute to the evolution of the design system and component library. Collaboration with product management, engineering, and operations leadership is essential to define product strategy, prioritize initiatives, and ensure seamless execution. The role emphasizes remaining connected to the design craft while scaling team capabilities. You will build alignment through strong storytelling and presentation skills, articulating design vision to executive leadership and diverse stakeholders. A key focus is driving the evolution and adoption of AI-centric product development to ensure scalable, unified, high-quality user experiences across the product ecosystem. Motive serves nearly 100,000 customers across transportation, logistics, construction, energy, field service, manufacturing, agriculture, food and beverage, retail, and public sector.
