Zscaler is seeking a Director of People & Culture Communications & Cultural Narrative to lead an integrated P&C Communications and Creative team at their Santa Clara headquarters. This is a strategic leadership role reporting to senior P&C executives, responsible for translating people strategy, culture, and organizational priorities into compelling narratives across employee and candidate experiences.
Key responsibilities include: serving as a trusted advisor to P&C leadership on executive messaging and tone calibration for all-hands presentations, leadership briefs, and organizational updates; conducting cause-and-effect impact analysis on major people initiatives (performance evolutions, organizational shifts, policy updates) to anticipate employee sentiment and mitigate risks; designing and executing change communication strategies for complex organizational transformations, including narrative sequencing, audience messaging, channel strategy, and manager enablement tools; developing and stewarding a cohesive cultural narrative that connects Zscaler's people strategy, ways of working, and employee experience through communications, visual design, video, and multimedia; collaborating cross-functionally with Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to align internal and external messaging; and establishing measurement frameworks to assess communication effectiveness, sentiment, and message retention.
The role is positioned as a "player-coach"—operating at the highest level of strategic advisory while remaining deeply involved in daily storytelling, messaging, and content creation. You will work with the world's largest security data lake and cloud-native Zero Trust Exchange platform, supporting an AI-forward enterprise culture centered on customer obsession, collaboration, ownership, and accountability.
