Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead product sourcing, procurement, supplier quality, material flow, inventory, and warehousing operations for the ALTIUS product line in Atlanta, GA. The ALTIUS business line manufactures and deploys autonomous, tube-launched air vehicles at high cadence (hundreds per month) for the U.S. Department of Defense and international allies. In this role, you will lead a high-performing supply chain organization executing under extreme urgency to deliver at high-rate production. Unlike traditional aerospace programs bound to rigid, years-long developmental cycles, Anduril continuously iterates and upgrades hardware post-deployment. You will thrive in ambiguity: onboarding and driving suppliers against tight deadlines when engineering requirements are not yet fully locked, compressing 6-month industry lead times into weeks, and building a resilient supply base that can pivot in real time. You will lead cross-functional efforts across engineering, manufacturing, and corporate sourcing—partnering closely with central Arsenal manufacturing and commodity teams—to guarantee parts arrive on time to hit demanding delivery targets. You will operate in a matrix reporting structure, reporting directly to the Atlanta Head of Production with dotted-line responsibilities to corporate Supply Chain leadership. Key responsibilities include: architecting and executing an aggressive, agile supply chain strategy supporting high-rate manufacturing; leading, mentoring, and scaling an operational supply chain team supporting a production organization of 50+ personnel; driving supplier identification, qualification, and performance under dynamic conditions; aggressively compressing lead times without sacrificing quality or system reliability; owning supplier quality engineering, inspection, validation, and qualification processes using DFMEA and quality standards; leading rigorous commercial and cost negotiations with critical vendors; optimizing end-to-end material flow, inventory control, and warehousing using ERP and WMS; maintaining AS9100 quality management compliance; partnering on make/buy analyses and design-to-production bottleneck resolution; and serving as the primary escalation point for supplier slip recovery. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or related field - 8+ years of progressive supply chain and procurement leadership experience within aerospace, defense, hardware devices, automotive/EV (e.g., Tesla), or advanced hardware manufacturing - Proven track record of career progression and organizational tenure (demonstrated growth/promotions within prior companies) - Direct experience scaling a production line to high volumes (hundreds of complex mechanical/electrical units per month) - Demonstrated experience operating under extreme speed and ambiguity, with ability to deliver on commitments when design definitions or specs are still evolving - Deep expertise in supplier quality management, qualification processes, DFMEA, and AS9100 compliance - Hands-on experience deploying and operating with modern ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) - Willingness to travel up to 25% to visit local and regional supply partners - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) and eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Prior experience in fast-turn, high-consequence hardware environments - Master's degree or MBA in a technical or business discipline - Active U.S. Secret (or higher) security clearance - Familiarity with defense contracting practices, FAR/DFARS, and ITAR compliance
