As Director of Sales, Global Account Management, you will build and lead the post-sale expansion motion for existing enterprise customers. This role focuses on driving revenue through renewals, upsells, and deep customer partnerships while collaborating with Solution Architects, Sales, and Product teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and leading a global Account Executive team, owning hiring, onboarding, and career development
- Driving expansion within strategic accounts by engaging developer, product, and executive stakeholders
- Owning GRR and NRR metrics as the primary success measures
- Mapping customer organizations, identifying pain points, and shaping tailored solutions
- Defining account segmentation, customer lifecycle stages, and engagement strategies
- Building playbooks, tools, and systems for forecasting, pipeline tracking, and expansion reporting
- Leading with data to track expansion metrics, usage trends, and upsell conversion
- Owning renewals and working cross-functionally to protect retention and minimize churn
- Partnering with Product, Marketing, and Solutions leaders to inform roadmap priorities
This is a second-line leadership role managing managers who lead teams, requiring the ability to scale a customer base that compounds over time rather than closing deals individually.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years in enterprise sales or account management
- 4+ years in management
- 2+ years in second-line leadership (managing managers who lead teams)
- Proven track record of owning expansion and renewal numbers at portfolio scale
- Strong discipline in systematically building pipelines vertically and horizontally
- Experience growing enterprise revenue against sophisticated, technical buying committees (CTOs, engineering leaders, product leaders)
- Deep command of post-sale motions and ability to structure repeatable enterprise expansion plays
- Strategic, structured operator who can define account segmentation, lifecycle stages, and reporting systems
- Strong communicator and organizational mapper; ability to identify and develop champions
- Proven cross-functional leadership across Solutions, Product, and Customer Solutions in global environments
