They're now scaling nationally with an AI platform embedding social work agents across the safety net. As Director of Revenue Cycle Management, you will own the RCM function end-to-end across Medicaid and Medicare programs, from eligibility and authorization through claims, denials, and collections. Key responsibilities include: - Build and lead the RCM team, managing hiring, KPI development, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, product, and engineering - Develop RCM strategy and oversee implementation of systems (Candid, Waystar, etc.) - Conduct deep analysis on claims data to identify gaps, drive remediation, and improve collection rates and DSO - Manage patient billing, coinsurance collection, and denial management/appeals - Centralize eligibility verification, authorizations, and payer reporting - Work directly with payers and provider groups to resolve claims issues - Partner with Finance on revenue reconciliation, cash application, and collections reporting - Ensure compliance with Medicaid and Medicare billing requirements - Build scalable, automated processes suited to a fast-moving startup You'll need 8+ years of progressive RCM experience with end-to-end ownership across the full revenue cycle, including deep knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing (FFS, risk-based arrangements). Experience building and leading teams in high-growth, early-stage startups is essential. You must be highly analytical and self-sufficient—able to independently query and analyze claims data without dependency on separate analytics teams. Strong communication and collaboration skills across finance, accounting, operations, product, and engineering are critical. Experience implementing RCM solutions and an ownership mindset focused on mission, business, and customer experience are required. Passion for serving individuals with complex chronic needs, including homelessness, severe mental illness, and substance use disorder, is valued.
