Courier Health is building the future of patient engagement for life sciences companies. The software platform supports patients in their complex journey from diagnosis through therapy initiation and ongoing management, helping biopharma companies optimize health outcomes for people living with chronic and rare diseases. As Director of Product, you will lead a team of product managers covering the full platform and report directly to the CEO. You will maintain hands-on involvement in discovery, specification writing, and decision-making on the company's most critical bets. This is a role where you define the roadmap—what to build, in what order, and what to deliberately avoid—in a market where stakes are high (patient access to life-saving therapies) and the right answer is rarely obvious. Key responsibilities include: - Building and coaching a product team that can make independent calls and defend decisions without you in the room - Setting roadmap sequencing across a growing customer base, balancing strategic client needs against platform priorities - Conducting customer discovery grounded in how patients actually access therapy, working directly with patient support program operators, field teams, and hub operations - Translating customer insights into product strategy and building market fluency that differentiates the platform - Ensuring commitments hold and changes are communicated clearly to sales, implementation, and engineering teams - Maintaining strong technical fluency to work through data models, API integrations, and architectural tradeoffs with engineering The company is office-first, expecting in-person collaboration 4 days per week in NYC, valuing culture, craft, and customer obsession. Requirements: - 10+ years in product management at a B2B software company, with a track record of shipping products that enterprise customers renewed and expanded - 5+ years managing product managers; demonstrated ability to hire, coach, and provide hard feedback that improves performance - Proven ownership of roadmaps end-to-end from customer discovery and strategy through launch and measured outcomes - Strong technical fluency; ability to work through data models, API integrations, and architectural tradeoffs with engineers (coding not required, but depth is) - Excellent judgment under ambiguity; ability to make calls with incomplete information and change course when evidence shifts - Exceptional written communication; ability to think in documents and write specs that make decisions obvious - Comfort working directly with senior customer stakeholders, including difficult conversations - Experience building process from scratch with the restraint to keep it minimal Bonus qualifications: - Experience in health tech, pharma tech, or life sciences; familiarity with patient support programs, hub services, or specialty pharmacy workflows - Track record building products on complex data integrations or healthcare interoperability standards - Shipped LLM-powered features that customers actually use - Early product hire who helped scale a company through growth
