airSlate is a global SaaS company with $1.8B+ in business, serving hundreds of millions of users across document automation, electronic signature, and workflow solutions (pdfFiller, SignNow, DocHub, AltaFlow, Instapage, US Legal Forms).
The company is running two deliberately separate efforts: optimizing its legacy portfolio for 3-5 year defensible revenue, and building AI Labs—a structurally separate, AI-native business targeting $20-50M in new topline within 2-3 years. AI Labs has already shipped BizDraft (AI-drafted agreements for SMBs), is developing Ordinum (AI compliance agent for regulated SMBs), and is running controlled experiments with BizPulse (financial/operational reconstruction from inbox data). The team has also rebuilt the pdfFiller editor (5x faster, 10x smaller) and developed internal AI systems (Discovery Engine, document segmentation, Synthetic Users, Zero Reporting) that are beginning to influence the broader company.
You will own product strategy, roadmap, and definition across the AI Labs product line. You'll lead a small group of Product Owners and work closely with AI Labs' engineering leadership. A small go-to-market team (one product marketer, one marketer) supports AI Labs, and you'll partner with them on market analysis, positioning, and launches.
Key responsibilities:
- Own product strategy and roadmap targeting $20-50M in new AI-native topline over 2-3 years
- Scale BizDraft post-launch; drive Ordinum and BizPulse through go/no-go decisions
- Identify, size, and prioritize 2-5 high-potential new projects based on customer needs and competitive advantage
- Hire and lead a small team of 0-to-1 Product Owners, each owning a specific product and developing it based on customer/market feedback
- Develop working knowledge of existing products (pdfFiller, SignNow, DocHub, AltaFlow) to surface needs AI Labs can address—some as standalone products, others as features
- Define product requirements and priorities with precision AI-driven execution demands
- Partner closely with AI Labs engineering lead on sequencing and trade-offs (without direct engineering team management)
- Decide which internal AI systems are ready to hand off to functional owners (Marketing, CIO, Data) once proven
- Partner with go-to-market team on positioning, GTM planning, and launch execution
- Represent AI Labs product progress to executive team and board
Requirements:
- Experienced in building 0-to-1 inside a larger company
- Builder-operator who has shipped AI-native products end-to-end, or at minimum transformative standalone features/modules on existing products with proven adoption
- Deeply fluent in AI-assisted build workflows (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, etc.) and how they change team shape, ratios, and product definition standards
- Comfortable driving product outcomes through precision and influence rather than headcount (no engineering team reporting to you)
- Commercially minded; comfortable partnering closely with marketing and PMM on positioning and GTM
- Low ego and collaborative; able to earn credibility with engineering leadership and peers
- SaaS, SMB, and document/workflow space experience a plus
