Salary: USD 188,000 - 220,000 / annual

Agile Space Industries, a rapidly growing supplier of propulsion hardware and engineering services for the space industry, is seeking a Director of Marketing and Commercial Strategy. The company is headquartered in Durango, Colorado, with expanding operations in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Seattle, Washington, and has achieved over 40% year-over-year growth for the past three years. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this executive leader will develop and execute Agile's marketing strategy while shaping the company's commercial direction and market positioning. The Director will build and lead the marketing organization, ensuring brand, messaging, market strategy, and commercial priorities support sustainable growth across commercial, civil, and national security space markets. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute corporate marketing strategy to strengthen brand recognition, thought leadership, and market positioning across all channels - Provide leadership across all marketing functions: brand management, product marketing, digital marketing, website strategy, strategic communications, public relations, technical publications, social media, and industry events - Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing organization, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional development - Direct marketing, business development, engineering, and cross-functional staff to create and execute commercial campaigns (capture, product, market, customer, and event campaigns) - Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for priority products, markets, customer segments, and strategic growth initiatives - Lead sales enablement by managing customer messaging, presentations, product collateral, competitive positioning, and proposal support - Partner with executive leadership to recommend commercial priorities, market strategies, product positioning, and long-term growth opportunities - Establish marketing KPIs, measure campaign effectiveness, and analyze performance to recommend strategic adjustments - Serve as customer-facing marketing executive, building relationships with customers and partner marketing organizations - Foster a culture of strategic thinking, collaboration, accountability, and execution throughout the commercial organization - Manage integrated marketing calendar and coordinate campaigns across digital marketing, public relations, website, social media, conferences, and strategic communications Travel expectations: approximately 35% travel. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field - 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in aerospace, defense, or another highly technical B2B industry - Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic marketing, branding, and go-to-market initiatives for complex technical products - Successful track record of digital marketing, strategic communications, and marketing event leadership - Experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies across digital marketing, strategic communications, brand management, events, and product marketing - Experience with product marketing, brand development, strategic communications, and technical marketing for highly engineered products - Experience leading multidisciplinary marketing or commercial organizations - Strong strategic planning, organizational leadership, and project management skills - Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills - Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational alignment Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in spacecraft, propulsion, launch, satellite systems, or national security space - Experience supporting customers such as NASA, Space Force, NRO, SDA, MDA, commercial space companies, and aerospace prime contractors - Knowledge of long-cycle, high-value technical marketing, sales, business development, and capture processes - Demonstrated success building brands and marketing organizations within the aerospace or defense industry
