This Director of Launch Operations role owns the entire client activation experience—from onboarding through launch to ongoing activation. The position sits at the intersection of operations and product, requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution.
Key responsibilities include:
**Client Activation & Operating Model**: Design and own the operational framework for onboarding, launch, and activation across the full product suite. Set performance standards for speed, consistency, and quality while scaling the operation 3x without proportional cost increases. Establish metrics and reporting that provide leadership with clear visibility into activation performance.
**Launchpad Platform Ownership**: Own Launchpad (the company's purpose-built onboarding and activation platform) as a product—including vision, roadmap, prioritization, and shipping decisions. Direct dedicated engineering and Salesforce development resources. Make Launchpad the system of record for activation with clean data flowing to Salesforce.
**AI-Native Operations**: Identify work in the activation process that should be automated rather than manual. Build AI capabilities directly into Launchpad and surrounding workflows. Maintain high standards for AI-assisted work relative to manual alternatives.
**Team Leadership**: Lead a small team of senior operators, running a fast operating cadence with visible prioritization. Design scalable processes that hold up as volume grows and staff turns over.
**Cross-functional Alignment**: Report to VP of GTM Strategy and Operations; work closely with Head of Onboarding and PFT. Collaborate with CS Operations, Sales & Marketing Operations, RevTech, Analytics, and Enablement leaders. Translate between technical and business conversations for executive stakeholders.
Required experience: 5+ years in operations at SaaS/technology companies with team leadership experience. Direct background running operational layers for implementation, onboarding, professional services, or delivery organizations. Track record of raising performance bars through operational improvement at high-growth companies ($100M–$500M ARR). Hands-on experience with AI workflows, strong Salesforce command, and comfort working directly with engineers. Exceptional communication skills, ability to operate in complexity, and demonstrated execution orientation.
