Tennr is a healthtech company that automates the complex insurance and referral paperwork that delays patient care and provider payments. The company serves DME suppliers, infusion centers, specialty pharmacies, and other provider organizations with products including referral intake, prior authorization, AI voice, and patient onboarding.
As Director of Growth Marketing, you will own Tennr's pipeline generation strategy and execution. You'll lead the Growth Marketing team and work closely with Sales, Product, and Finance to set targets, diagnose opportunities across verticals and channels, and drive accountability to pipeline outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and owning the marketing-sourced pipeline target, breaking it into drivers (CPL, CPQL, conversion to opportunity, pipeline contribution by segment and channel), and building the model that explains what moves each metric.
- Diagnosing opportunities and constraints across verticals, products, and channels; forming a data-backed point of view on where to invest and what to deprioritize.
- Running annual and quarterly planning for Growth, allocating budget across channels and direct programs, and partnering with Finance on spend and payback.
- Designing cadences, dashboards, and decision forums that surface performance gaps early and drive action; partnering with Sales on pipeline reviews and maintaining clean conversion signals.
- Leading high-stakes strategic projects such as entering new verticals, taking new products to market, or positioning against competitors.
- Owning direct programs that put Tennr in front of buyers and customers; deciding which programs earn investment and holding them to pipeline standards.
- Setting the bar for experiments across new channels, AI tools, and workflows; scaling winners and cutting underperformers.
- Leading and building the Growth Marketing team across paid, search, AEO, and direct programs.
- Driving cross-functional decisions with Sales, Content, Brand, Design, Product, and Finance.
You'll think like a general manager, moving between strategy and execution, building models and running reviews, and acting as both analyst and partner to Sales.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of experience mixing strategy work (MBB consulting, investment banking, or private equity) with at least 3 years at a high-growth startup in strategy, business operations, growth, or revenue operations. At least 1 year personally owning a business outcome (P&L, quota, pipeline, or retention).
- First-principles thinking: ability to take ambiguous problems, identify what matters, break into drivers, and design practical paths forward.
- Quantitative fluency: build your own models, write SQL, use imperfect data to find gaps and make tradeoffs.
- Operator instincts: move between direction-setting and execution details; keep multiple workstreams moving.
- Program execution: deliver high-stakes programs with hard dates, external partners, and fixed budgets.
- Presence: represent Tennr with senior operators and customers; earn trust quickly.
- Cross-functional leadership: create clarity, establish accountability, drive decisions across teams you don't manage.
- Ownership: own outcomes, not just inputs; follow up until done; rebuild playbooks from first principles.
- Clear writing: put recommendations, reasoning, and tradeoffs on one page to drive decisions.
- Judgment: walk through growth plans you've built, bets made, and pipeline outcomes.
- Informed view on AI backed by real examples of application to workflows; clear sense of where it helps and doesn't.
- Experience managing people or a track record showing readiness to build and lead a team.
A PLUS: Healthcare or healthtech experience, especially selling to provider organizations; vertical SaaS experience selling to operators; customer community or advisory board building; new product or vertical launches; go-to-market workflow building in Clay, Salesforce, or similar.
