Zocdoc is seeking a Director of Finance Technology to lead the evolution of technology and processes powering financial planning and decision-making across the organization. You will own the strategy, roadmap, and continuous improvement of Finance Technology spanning Strategic Finance, FP&A, enterprise planning platforms, forecasting systems, planning processes, reporting capabilities, and AI enablement. In this role, you'll partner closely with Strategic Finance, FP&A, Finance Systems, Accounting, Data & Analytics Engineering, HR Systems, and IT to translate finance business needs into scalable technology solutions. As AI rapidly transforms finance operations, you'll shape how Zocdoc modernizes planning, automates manual workflows, and evolves its finance technology ecosystem to improve forecast accuracy, increase team productivity, and enable faster, better business decisions. Key responsibilities include owning the Finance Technology strategy and roadmap across Strategic Finance and FP&A; leading optimization of the planning technology ecosystem (including Planful); partnering with finance leaders to identify opportunities and prioritize investments; translating business requirements into technology roadmaps; evaluating finance technology investments and build-versus-buy decisions; identifying automation opportunities for planning, forecasting, and reporting workflows; establishing governance and best practices for planning systems and financial models; leading cross-functional technology initiatives from business case through implementation; and continuously evaluating how emerging technologies, including generative AI, can improve finance workflows and decision support. You should be a builder comfortable at the intersection of Finance and Technology, able to translate complex business problems into scalable solutions. You'll be equally comfortable partnering with finance leaders, data teams, IT, and external software vendors. Strong structured problem-solving skills, ability to navigate ambiguity, and clear communication translating technical concepts into business outcomes are essential. The role requires 10+ years of experience in FP&A, Finance Systems, Corporate Finance, Finance Transformation, or similar analytical roles supporting financial planning and analysis.
